Sandy Hathaway’s songs reach back in time and deliver stories that touch the heart. The vivid descriptions and metaphors add texture and soul to the stories. Her vocal style delivers soul and raw emotion with layers of country, blue grass and folk. Her songs are intimate stories about her childhood, family, growing up on a farm and relationships. Hathaway studied classical guitar at Meyer Music in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Years of playing live shows at coffeehouses, wine rooms and festivals has developed her personal guitar style. Her voice can be described as a blending of Dar Williams, Sara Bareilles and Patty Griffin. Her beautiful, soulful vocals draw listeners and her fan base continues to grow with each live show.

Sandy’s songwriting influences include Gillian Welch, Lucy Kaplansky, Joni Mitchell, Dar Williams, Patty Griffin, Ben Harper . She was Top Ten Finalist in 2004, Honorable Mention 2006 & 2014. She has released new EP Red Sky at Morning which is available for download at most online music stores. Sandy released her debut, full length, album Edge of Twilight at Sail Inn January 2014. Red Sky at Moring EP was released May 2016 and Sandy's first Chidren's CD-Milkweed Seeds was released October 2016.  Sandy has been performing live cover songs and songwriter shows for 16 yrs. and has toured in Arizona, Michigan, California, Hawaii and Belize, Central America.
